FAQ
Will my name appear in the viewers list?
No. Stories are fetched server-side without your Instagram identity attached. The viewers list on their side doesn't change.
Can I watch private stories?
No. If the account is private, stories are gated behind follow approval and we don't bypass that.
Why is the story viewer empty?
Either no active stories right now (stories expire after 24 hours), or an upstream rate limit. Try again shortly.
Can I download stories?
Yes. Each story has a Download button. The file is the original format — JPG for image, MP4 for video.
Is this against Instagram's rules?
We only read public data. Your own account is never touched because you never connect it.
Can I watch old stories?
Only live stories from the last 24 hours. Anything older has expired on Instagram's side.
