Do I need an Instagram account?
No. The viewer reads from Instagram's public endpoint server-side. You're never asked to log in.
Can I see private profiles?
Only public metadata — handle, name, bio, profile picture, counts. Posts and stories stay private.
Will the owner see I looked them up?
No. There's no view event for a profile lookup. Story viewers are a separate case — we handle that on the story viewer page.
Can I search by name?
Not yet. You need the @username or the profile URL. Instagram's search results require login, so we don't expose them.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. Layout is mobile-first. Paste, View, save.
Why does it sometimes fail?
